Position Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:

  • Serves as a communication conduit for patients, families, staff, nurses, pharmacy, physicians, and the Clinical Coordinator. Supports home health department in the authorization of services with payer sources. Lead Home Health RN will facilitate, mentor, guide and develop home health staff nurses in the coordination of care for their patients. Provides professional intermittent nursing services for Children’s Home Healthcare (CHHC) in accordance with a written plan of treatment prescribed by a physician.
MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure as RN in Nebraska.
  • 5 years pediatric experience.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic CPR certification.
  • A valid drivers license and an acceptable motor vehicle record/driving record evaluation.
PREFERRED:

  • 5 years pediatric home care experience.
  • Bilingual skills.
  • PALS/NALS
  • PIC line insertion.
