Position Description

HDR is in search of a Process Support Engineer for microelectronics manufacturing projects
to work out of our San Francisco or Sunnyvale office. Performs routine Process Support
engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
Performs system evaluations and proposes system upgrades to improve reliability, repair
problems, and / or increase capacities. Writes / edits Process Support System evaluation
reports, scopes of work, specifications and generates / reviews system designs. Will
utilize engineering software to develop evaluations, energy analysis, and equipment
selections.Responsible for review / evaluation of Process Support Systems including but not
limited to Process Cooling Water, Ultra-pure Water, Clean Dry Air, Process Vacuum, Bulk Gas
Distribution, Specialty Gas Distribution, Chemical Dispense and Distribution, and Waste
Treatment associated with manufacturing of semiconductor components. Works independently on
small projects or assists other senior engineers on larger projects. Supervises work of
Process Support Designers and CAD Technicians and coordinates design of assigned projects
with manufacturing staff and other engineering disciplines. Will have construction contract
administration responsibilities requiring design direction and review, field inspections
and conflict resolution.
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical or Process / Chemical Engineering or Masters
Degree in
Engineering Process Support Systems emphasis. 15+ years experience in Process Support System
design of Microelectronics buildings. PE preferred.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, ATF Fathom, Pipeflo, or similar software, and
equipment selection software). Previous experience with an Architectural / Engineering firm
or On-site Facilities engineering preferred. Minimum Experience: 15
