Position Description

Our Bellevue, WA office is looking for a Coastal EIT to join our team of nationally ranked professionals. We are looking for a qualified EIT with the ability to perform analysis and design of marinas and shoreline development, harbor works, navigation and dredging, beach nourishment and shore protection, and bio-engineering and ecological restoration. Suitable candidates must possess strong analytical skills and demonstrate familiarity with wave behavior, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics, littoral processes, sediment transport, and geotechnical or structural systems.

A degree in Coastal, Ocean, Naval Architecture, or Civil (Hydraulic, Geotechnical, or structural emphasis) Engineering and possess the following:
  • - EIT preferred - Desire and ability to obtain a P.E. license within four years of employment
  • - 0+ years of relevant experience (i.e., construction, mechanical skills, previous work with consultants, etc.)
  • - Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • - Strong computer skills;
  • - Knowledge or familiarity with computer programming (i.e., Matlab, Fortran, etc.) and numerical modeling (CEDAS, SMS, etc.); - Proficient in CAD
  • - Ability to work both independently and in group environments;
  • - Willingness to travel (typically for one to three days);
  • - Familiarity with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers design methodologies (or European equivalents) is preferred Minimum Experience: 0
