The primary duties of the Managing Professional Engineer include planning, directing and
monitoring all aspects of the transportation and infrastructure group of HDR’s Oil and Gas
practice in Alaska. The position will assist with development of the strategic vision for
the Oil and Gas practice within HDR Alaska. Establishes and maintains client relations and
is involved with marketing, contract development, design services, and production meetings.
The successful applicant will conduct schematic design development and contract document
work sessions at project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical
professionals, and other disciplines.
- The position is responsible for coordinating the hiring, staffing and overall workload of the group through the entire project development process including budget, schedule, and document quality. Position will require considerable emphasis on implementing QA/QC procedures. The successful applicant will be responsible for the execution of training for personnel consistent with annual targets established by strategic plans. Typically supervises large project staffs and acts as mentor for less experienced Project Managers. Maintains professional engineering registration.
