POSITION PURPOSE: To transcribe a variety of complex medical reports for all inpatient and outpatient Radiology, physician clinics, outreach clinics and other non-Nebraska Medical Center clinics and hospitals.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School education or equivalent. Three (3) years general clerical or secretarial experience one (1) year of which should be as a medical transcriptionist. Use of word processing and dictation equipment required. Demonstrated typing ability of 50 WPM. Medical knowledge in anatomical, physiological, pharmacological, diagnostic, operative, therapeutic and psychological terminology. Transcription test given to all applicants to assess potential.
