Position Description
Clinical and didactic teaching in the postdoctoral and predoctoral programs,
continued development of departmental research and other collaborative activities within
the Medical Center. Intramural practice is available and encouraged. The residency program
is based at the UNMC Medical Center in Omaha which offers tertiary and primary care to a
diverse patient population. The University of Nebraska Medical Center is recognized
nationally and internationally as a leader in patient care, research and education. Omaha
has a metropolitan population of over 800,000 and offers a variety of cultural and quality
of life amenities for faculty and their families. In addition to providing time for
research/scholarly activity, intramural practice is available through the University Dental
Associates allowing the faculty member to practice either inside or outside of the
university setting. Additional benefits include health care, disability, and life insurance
options, TIAA/CREF or Fidelity c DDS/DMD or equivalent and completion of an ADA accredited
advanced education program in pediatric dentistry. Advanced education certificate from an
ADA accredited program in pediatric dentistry. Nebraska dental license through
credentialing or by teaching faculty licensing options as established by state law. Boarded
or Board Eligible with movement to Board Status preferred.
