This position supports the manufacturing of cellular products and gene therapeutics for clinical studies. It also provides support for process development, validation, quality control, and release assays. The position will focus on the manufacturing of dendritic cells (DCs) from monocytes, and transfecting them with adenovirus (Adv) vectors as part of phase II vaccine trial in breast cancer. This position will also be responsible for manufacturing DCs from stem cell products to be used following nonmyeloablative therapy for the treatment of leukemia and lymphoma.
