Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer
Position Description

We are looking for a technical expert in systems design and overall platform infrastructure with knowledge of protocols and network technologies (VoIP, Kernal tuning, TCP/IP, AIX, Solaris, LINUX, Windows, UNIX, Utility computing, Virtualization, MCA or RedHat). In this position you will be responsible for developing strategic systems architecture plans to include system engineering and design, technical product leadership, problem resolution, vendor relationships, and team interfaces/customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years experience working in a multi-platform IT environment, including direct experience with one or more of the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Unix/Linux, or Solaris required
• Minimum 5 years technical experience with installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise-class server hardware and associated equipment required.
• Minimum 5 years operating systems management and troubleshooting experience required.
• Minimum 5 years experience designing and deploying complex platform solutions required.
• Engineer level certification in at least one or more operating systems required, (MCSE, RHCE, SCSA)
• Advance knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, MIS, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
Knowledge:
• Advanced knowledge and technical expertise as pertaining to systems design and the overall platform infrastructure
• Advanced level knowledge of protocols and network technologies
• Advanced troubleshooting techniques
• Design principles as related to system performance
• Project planning, estimating, and scheduling methods
• In depth understanding of Operating System fundamentals and best practices
• Principles and practices of customer service
